Exciting Updates to Our 2026 Timetable

Hi Ruccis families! We hope you’ve all had a wonderful year of circus, movement and fun with us. As we prepare for 2026, we’re excited to share some updates to our timetable to make your family’s experience at Ruccis even more enjoyable and supportive.

Clearer Progression — while staying true to our non-competitive values

Ruccis has always been a proudly non-competitive space, and that’s not changing. All classes will continue to welcome a wide range of abilities, with a focus on enjoyment, fitness, and personal achievement.

What *is* changing is that we’re introducing a clearer pathway to help students understand where they are on their circus journey, and what comes next. This means:

  • Easier visibility of skills and goals
  • A smoother progression from one level to the next
  • Flexibility for each student to choose the type of challenge they want
  • A more meaningful sense of growth and accomplishment

Our 2026 timetable now has even more classes designed to meet your needs and goals. Whether your child is with us for fun, friendship, confidence, or skill-building, they’ll be able to shape their own Ruccis experience.

What this looks like:

Aerial Pathways

We’ve introduced a pathway across all aerial specialties so you can learn at the pace that suits you best. Begin with Aerial Basics to discover your favourite apparatus, then continue through Foundations, Experienced, and Advanced in Tissu, Trapeze, Lyra, and Hammock. This structure is fairly similar to our current Tissu classes, but as our Trapeze, Lyra and Hammock classes grow, we’re working on consistency across the  timetable with clearer options to progress your aerial skills.

Shorter Kids Circus Mix classes

Many families have shared feedback about the Circus Mix class length—especially for younger students or those coming straight from school. We heard:

* “We’re rushing from school and arriving stressed.”

* “We’re getting home very late for dinner”

* “1.5 hours is a long time for the younger ones to stay focused.”

In response, we’re mixing up Circus Mix!- Circus Mix 101 will be beginner focussed and 1 hour, and Circus Mix Extra will be 1.5 hours. Both will continue to cover our 4 key skill areas of Aerial, Tumbling, Manipulation and Balance.

Circus Mix 101

Circus Mix 101: Circus Mix Extra

  • 1 hour
  • Beginner focussed
  • Ages 5-13
  • Progress focussed stations
  • Targeted drills

Circus Mix Extra

  • 1.5 hours
  • Prerequisites to meet
  • Ages 5-13
  • Building on foundational skills
  • Helping to build towards a speciality

To help your child get the most out of each 1-hour session, our 101 classes feature fun, progression-focused stations and skill-building drills designed to build strength, technique and confidence. We also emphasise safety and positive group habits, so your circus star is set up for success as they move into Circus Mix Extra or a specialty class.

Our 1.5-hour Extra classes will build on this, giving students time to explore more complex skills that require repetition and focused practice.

Prerequisites

All classes beyond Foundations and 101 will have prerequisites that need to be met before enrolling. You can view these all in our Class Descriptions.

During these last few weeks of term, it’s a great time to chat with your coach and see which class is the best fit for you.

If you want to stick with a friend group, or just like the vibes of a class, we have no issues with you staying in a Basics or 101 class for as long as you like! If you’re ready for some extra challenges, now might be the time to try those prereqs and take that next step!

Enrolment in Term 1

You can view the new timetable on our website now, however due to software constraints and the holiday period, your updated enrolments will not appear in the Portal until 5th January 2026.

If your class is staying the same next year, your enrolment will simply roll over.

If your class has changed on the timetable, we will allocate you to an appropriate class (on the same day, if possible). If you need to change classes, you can do this on the Portal.

To assist with staffing, please make any changes in the Portal by 19th January 2026.

We're excited for 2026!

Thank you for being part of the Ruccis community and for helping us continue to grow and improve.

If you have any questions about the new timetable or which class is right for you or your child, we’re here to help. You can email us at circus@ruccis.com.au.

Happy Circussing!

FAQs

Can I trial multiple classes before booking?

Yes, we’d love you to find the perfect fit for you, whether you’re a new or continuing student. Please book your trial on the Portal before the class to ensure there is space in the class.

I have been in a Ruccis Circus Mix class for over 12 months - can I join Circus Mix Extra?

As long as you can demonstrate that you meet the prerequisites of the class, you are able to join. Otherwise you can join a Circus Mix 101 class to continue working on the required skills and move into an Extra class when you’re ready.

I’m currently in an Adult Circus Mix class. Is my class changing?

For 2026, all adult Circus Mix classes will be called 101, to reflect that these classes accept complete beginners as well as those with circus experience. They will still be 1.5 hours and have no prerequisites.

I'm currently in Experienced Circus Mix. What's happening to that class?

For consistency across the timetable, Experienced Circus Mix will now fall under Circus Mix Extra and be 1.5 hours. The class is still on a Friday and all current students meet the prerequisites.

Is there a price change?

All classes are remaining at the $27.50 price for Term 1. This includes the 1 hour Circus Mix 101 classes, and Experienced Circus Mix retrurning to 1.5 hours, so we are ensuring that we use the time efficiently with more focussed stations and drills to maximise learning, progress and fun!

I just want to specialise in Trapeze, Lyra, Hammock or Tissu. Do I need to do Aerial Basics first or can I jump into a Foundation class?

Aerial Basics will allow beginner students to build strength and basic techniques before jumping into a specialised class, however you are welcome to trial a Foundation class and see if you’re ready to jump straight in.

I’ve never trained at Ruccis but have some gymnastics or other related experience. Can I join an Experienced class?

Yes, as long as you can demonstrate that you meet the prerequisites of the class, you are able to join.
